The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command, has announced that 58 inmates are currently participating in the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination.
This was disclosed in a statement on Sunday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Musbahu Kofar-Nasarawa, who credited the achievement to the Kano State Government’s payment of the inmates’ registration fees, under the leadership of Governor Abba Yusuf.
“This gesture reflects the state government’s commitment to the welfare, rehabilitation, and reintegration of inmates,” the statement read.
The command expressed gratitude to the governor for his continued support, noting that the initiative will boost inmates’ morale and offer them a second chance at education and a brighter future.
“The NCoS Kano Command remains dedicated to creating a conducive environment for inmate rehabilitation, and we are proud to have the backing of the Kano State Government,” it added.
