NAF appoints Ehimen Ejodame as new spokesperson

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has appointed Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as its new spokesperson, succeeding Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa.

In a statement on Thursday, Group Captain Kabir Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information, highlighted Ejodame’s extensive experience in logistics, strategic planning, and defense management. His appointment is expected to enhance NAF’s public relations and communication strategies.

Ejodame, a member of the 45th Regular Course at the Nigerian Defence Academy, holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK.

His career includes high-level military training, such as logistics training at the UN International Peace Support Operations Centre in Kenya and a supply chain course in Portugal. He graduated as the Best Participant from both the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, and the Air Force War College, Makurdi, where he also won prestigious awards from the Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Air Staff.

Ejodame has held several senior roles, including directing staff positions at both the Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the National Defence College, and was the Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna. He also served as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser at the Nigeria High Commission in Malaysia.

A distinguished scholar, public relations professional, and Fellow of several prestigious institutes, Ejodame is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
