Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr have appointed former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach on a two-year contract.
The club confirmed the appointment on Friday in a post on its official social media accounts.
“It’s official. Mr. Ange Postecoglou is the new Head Coach of Al Nassr. He signed a contract for two seasons. Welcome, Gaffer!”
Postecoglou succeeds Jorge Jesus and takes charge of a star-studded Al Nassr side led by Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as the club looks to build on its domestic success and challenge for continental honours.
Since Ronaldo’s arrival in late 2022, Al Nassr have invested heavily in high-profile talent as part of their ambition to establish themselves among Asia’s elite clubs and compete for the AFC Champions League Elite title.
The Australian manager is expected to begin preparations for the new season immediately as Al Nassr aim to defend their Saudi Pro League crown and add more silverware under his leadership.
