JAMB releases Monday’s UTME results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday, April 20.

The board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday, directing candidates to the official result-checking channels.

“The results for Monday, April 20, have been released. Candidates can access them using the usual process,” the statement said.

Candidates can check their scores by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number they registered with for the examination.

The latest release is part of JAMB’s ongoing daily publication of UTME results since the examination began on Thursday, April 16. The exercise involves over two million candidates taking computer-based tests at centres nationwide, with results issued in batches corresponding to each exam day.

JAMB began by releasing results for candidates who sat on Thursday, followed by a combined batch for Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.

However, the Friday–Saturday results were delayed, arriving later than initially expected. The board had earlier indicated they would be available on Saturday but missed the deadline, leading to frustration among candidates.

JAMB later apologised for the delay, attributing it to the unavailability of its chief executive due to official duties. The results were eventually released on Sunday, April 19, after which the board proceeded to process and publish Monday’s batch.
