The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
The examination body announced the development on Wednesday in a post on its official X account, directing candidates to its online portal to access their results.
“UPDATE: 2026 WASSCE (SC) results have been released. Generate your PIN at waec.org and check your results now on waecdirect.org,” WAEC said.
More than 1.9 million candidates across Nigeria sat for the examination, which was conducted between April 21 and June 19, 2026.
WAEC said candidates must first obtain their Serial Number and PIN before they can access their results.
To generate the required credentials, candidates should visit the council’s official website and select the “Serial Number and PIN” option. They will then be required to choose the appropriate examination year and diet, enter their examination number and National Identification Number (NIN), and ensure the NIN matches the one used during registration.
Candidates must also provide a valid email address and phone number to receive a One-Time Password (OTP). After verifying the OTP, they can retrieve their Serial Number and PIN, which can then be used to check their results through the WAEC Direct portal.
The release of the results comes nearly two months after the nationwide examination concluded on June 19.
