Eze hits hat-trick as Arsenal beat Tottemham 4-1 to go six points clear

Arsenal opened up a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a commanding 4–1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, inspired by a sensational hat-trick from summer signing Eberechi Eze at the Emirates Stadium.

Eze, who arrived from Crystal Palace in the off-season, delivered a stunning performance in his first North London derby.

Leandro Trossard set Arsenal on their way midway through the first half, expertly controlling a pass before curling into the far corner. Minutes later, Eze doubled the advantage with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.

Just 35 seconds into the second half, Eze struck again, drilling a low shot beyond the goalkeeper to put the hosts firmly in control.

Tottenham pulled one back against the run of play when Richarlison caught David Raya off his line and lobbed in from distance, Spurs’ first attempt of the match.

But Arsenal restored their three-goal cushion as Eze completed his hat-trick with a composed finish, becoming the first player in nearly 50 years to score a treble in a North London derby.

The win moves Arsenal to 29 points from 12 matches, with nine victories and a league-high 24 goals—joint-best with Manchester City. Tottenham remain ninth on 18 points after suffering their fourth defeat of the season.

Arsenal now turn their attention to the Champions League, where they face Bayern Munich on Wednesday, before a Premier League trip to Chelsea next weekend.
