I have video showing how Mohbad was killed – Yomi Fabiyi

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi
Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has claimed he is in possession of a video allegedly showing how the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was killed.

Fabiyi made the claim in a video posted on social media, where he also appealed directly to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing investigation.

According to him, the clip was sent to him in what he described as an attempt to extort him.

“President Bola Tinubu, I wrote to you in May 2025 that Mohbad was murdered. Part of the video was sent to me in an apparent attempt to extort me. Your office wrote and directed the Inspector-General of Police to investigate, harmonise, and prosecute,” he said in the viral video on Thursday.

The actor further alleged that investigators at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja, had reviewed the case file and identified key suspects involved in what he described as an attempted cover-up.

He claimed, “As of November 2025, after the FCID in Abuja listed key suspects implicated in the alleged cover-up, the wife of the deceased turned herself in. Now they want to cover it up. They are even asking the same suspects to write a petition against me over illegal arrests.”

Fabiyi accused certain police officers of attempting to intimidate him because of the evidence he says he holds.

“This suspect wants to silence me because they want to use the video against you. I don’t know why it is wrong to be loyal to your government. I am putting my life on the line to stand by this government and to speak the truth,” he added.

His comments have sparked intense reactions across social media, with many users urging him to submit any evidence he has to law enforcement authorities rather than issuing emotional public appeals.
