Monaco dismissed their Austrian coach Adi Hutter on Thursday and are set to appoint Belgian Sebastien Pocognoli as his replacement, sources told AFP.
The 55-year-old Hutter’s assistants, Christian Peintinger and Klaus Schmidt, will also leave the club. The coaching trio, hired just over two years ago, informed players of their departure after Thursday’s training session.
Monaco currently sit fifth in Ligue 1, having won four and drawn one of their first seven matches, just three points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain. In the Champions League, they lost their opening game against Club Brugge but earned a 2-2 draw against Manchester City last week.

Sources say Monaco unsuccessfully attempted to sign German coach Edin Terzic, 42, former Borussia Dortmund manager, before turning to Pocognoli. The 38-year-old Belgian, a former international, led Union Saint-Gilloise to their first league title in 90 years last season—his debut campaign as a head coach.
