The Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement and 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, cast his vote in the ongoing Lagos State local government and councillorship elections on Saturday.
Speaking to journalists after voting, Adediran stressed the importance of grassroots governance in delivering essential services that directly impact citizens.
“Today, I cast my vote not just for the candidates, but for the future of our communities. Local government is the closest government to the people,” he said.
He urged Lagosians to come out en masse and perform their civic duty, emphasising that participation in local elections is vital for community development and accountability.
“Your Permanent Voter’s Card is your tool of influence. Use it today to shape the future of your ward, your local government, and our beloved state,” he added.
Adediran also commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police for efforts in ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.
Other notable figures who voted at the same polling unit included former Deputy Governor Princess Sarah Sosan and former Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Yinka Durosimi, alongside several APC leaders.
