The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) officially commenced the distribution of sensitive and non-sensitive election materials at the Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area on Saturday.
During the exercise, LASIEC officials and ad-hoc staff were seen actively organising and preparing materials for onward dispatch to the 14 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) under the jurisdiction of Amuwo-Odofin and Oriade local governments.
Serving as the central logistics hub, the distribution centre at Amuwo-Odofin ensured that all essential items—from ballot papers to result sheets—were securely packed and ready for delivery to their designated polling units.
The operation, which began early Saturday morning, is being closely supervised to guarantee a smooth and transparent process.

Security personnel were deployed to safeguard both the election materials and the ad-hoc staff throughout the distribution.
Speaking on the progress, Mrs. Adeola Williams, a senior ad-hoc staff member overseeing the distribution, expressed confidence in the arrangements.
“We are fully prepared and committed to ensuring that every polling unit receives its materials on time.

Our goal is to facilitate a seamless electoral process, and timely distribution of these materials is fundamental to achieving that.
We have thoroughly trained our staff, and they are ready to ensure that the will of the people is accurately reflected in this democratic exercise,” she stated.
