The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced that its operatives successfully intercepted cocaine concealed in prayer beads and locally made shoes.
NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, shared the news in a statement on Sunday, along with images of the seized contraband on X. He also revealed that several suspects were arrested during the operation.
“In this holy month, when people are dedicating themselves in prayer and supplication to their God, some individuals sought to desecrate this sacred time by hiding cocaine in prayer beads and locally made shoes,” Babafemi stated. “Fortunately, they were intercepted by NDLEA officers, as shown in the attached pictures.”
