Tinubu appoints APC spokesman, 20 state chairmen, others into federal boards

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the new Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

In addition to this, 20 APC state chairmen and several National Working Committee members have been appointed as board chairpersons for various Federal Government institutions. The appointments were announced in a statement released on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

According to the statement, “President Bola Tinubu has appointed Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).”

Hon. Fatuhu Buhari, a prominent figure from Katsina State, was also appointed as the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council.

Other key appointments include Mallam Muhammad Massan, the APC State Chairman of Bauchi State, who was named Board Chairman of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute in Ilorin; Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, APC State Chairman of Kano State, who was appointed Board Chairman of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service; and Dr. Austian Agada, APC State Chairman of Benue State, who was named Board Chairman of the National Agricultural Seed Council.

Hon. Macdonald Ebere, the APC State Chairman of Imo State, was appointed Board Chairman of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology in Lagos, while Ubong Stephen Ntukekpo, the APC State Chairman of Akwa Ibom State, will serve as Board Chairman of the National Institute for Freshwater Fish in New Bussa.

Chief Emma Eneukwu, Deputy Chairman (South) of the APC, has been appointed Board Chairman of the National Automotive Development Council. Aminu Musa Bobi, APC State Chairman of Niger State, will now head the National Library of Nigeria as Board Chairman. Pharm. Abass Olayide, APC State Chairman of Oyo State, will lead the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Kaduna as its new Board Chairman.

Other appointees include Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, APC State Chairman of Yobe State, as Board Chairman of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre; Benjamin Omale, APC State Chairman of Benue State, who will head the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu; and Rufus Bature, APC State Chairman of Plateau State, who has been appointed Board Chairman of the Nigerian Coal Corporation.

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Kana, APC State Chairman of Kebbi State, will serve as Board Chairman of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies. Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, APC National Working Committee Member from Abia State, will head the Project Development Institute (PRODA) as Board Chairman.

Comrade Mustapha Salihu, APC State Chairman of Adamawa State, has been appointed Board Chairman of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), while Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, APC State Chairman of Abia State, will take on the role of Board Chairman of the National Parks Headquarters.

Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, APC State Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory, has been appointed Board Chairman of the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria in Ibadan. Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, APC State Chairman of Taraba State, will lead the Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria as its new Board Chairman.

Sola Elesin, APC State Chairman of Ekiti State, has been named Board Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences, while Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, APC State Chairman of Edo State, will now chair the Federal College of Agriculture in Akure.

Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, APC State Chairman of Zamfara State, has been appointed Board Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre in Azare. Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel, APC State Chairman of Jigawa State, will serve as Board Chairman of the Federal College of Produce Inspection and Stored Products Technology in Kano. Barr. Idris Shuaibu, APC State Chairman of Adamawa State, has been appointed Board Chairman of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology in Ibadan.

These appointments reflect President Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to align leadership within key federal agencies with experienced and influential APC figures.
