The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has extended an invitation to former President Olusegun Obasanjo to visit the Port Harcourt Refinery.
In a statement released on Thursday, NNPCL explained that the invitation was aimed at allowing Obasanjo to assess the operational status of the refinery, located in Rivers State.
Obasanjo had recently raised concerns about the refinery’s operational capacity, following its recent reactivation.
In response, NNPCL highlighted its achievements and invited the former president to tour the facility.
“We invite our respected former president to join us on this significant journey. His vast wisdom and experience are highly valued, and we look forward to his insights and guidance,” the statement read.
“We also warmly welcome President Obasanjo to tour the rehabilitated refineries and observe firsthand the progress made under NNPC Limited’s leadership.”
The company further expressed gratitude for Obasanjo’s ongoing contributions to Nigeria’s development and reiterated its commitment to a brighter, more prosperous future for the nation.
