VeryDarkMan claims NGO account hacked, N180 million stolen

Martins Otse also known as VeryDarkMan
Social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has revealed that over ₦180 million was stolen from his NGO’s account following a hacking incident.

In an Instagram video posted on Friday, Otse disclosed that the stolen funds were diverted to an unknown account. “I haven’t been myself these past few days,” Otse shared. “Someone hacked into the NGO’s website, and ₦180 million is missing. Thankfully, we’ve traced the suspect, and one person has been arrested.”

Otse further explained that the account has now been flagged with a “Post No Debit” (PND) status, with ₦20 million remaining. The remaining ₦160 million was transferred to an unknown account. “We are heading to Jos to recover the money,” he added.

He also mentioned that the NGO’s app was temporarily taken offline for maintenance to prevent further security breaches and promised to keep followers updated on the recovery process.

In October, Otse launched the Martins Vincent Osei Initiative, which quickly gained momentum, raising over ₦35 million in donations within hours. The initiative saw further support when music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, contributed ₦100 million to the cause.
