One person has been confirmed dead and three others injured following a building collapse in the Fadeyi area of Lagos State.
The incident occurred on Akinola Street, off Ikorodu Road, on Friday morning.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the cause of the collapse had yet to be determined, adding that emergency responders were working to establish the number of site workers trapped beneath the rubble.
According to the agency, responders have commenced a coordinated search-and-rescue operation to locate and rescue anyone trapped under the collapsed structure.
LASEMA added that it was managing the scene in collaboration with relevant emergency response agencies and security personnel to ensure the smooth conduct of the operation.
Those involved in the response include LRU paramedics, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASASA and the Nigeria Police Force.
