Anambra-born pharmacist and actor, Chimsom Chuka, has emerged as Head of House for the second time in the ongoing Big Brother Naija Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” edition.
Chimsom secured the title on Monday night after defeating Gerard in the final head-to-head contest, earning immunity from this week’s eviction nominations.
The reality show announced his victory on its official social media platforms, noting that Chimsom had made it clear that “one HoH win was not enough” after claiming the title for the second time this season.
His latest victory comes after he also won the Head of House challenge in the opening week of the competition.
Meanwhile, the week’s nomination process produced a large pool of housemates facing possible eviction, with Chimsom using his veto power to save Sheba after she received the highest number of votes in the nomination face-off.
During the face-off, housemates were asked to publicly name two fellow contestants they wanted to save from eviction and explain their choices.
Sheba emerged with the highest number of save votes, prompting Chimsom to exercise his power as Head of House to secure her safety.
As a result, Chimsom, Abi and Sheba are exempt from this week’s eviction nominations.
Chimsom is protected by his Head of House immunity, while Abi retained her immunity after being named the Most Influential Player of the Week following Cassi’s eviction on Sunday.
Sheba, meanwhile, was saved through Chimsom’s veto power.
Aikou and Flora, who were introduced as the season’s Gambits during an earlier twist, are also protected from eviction.
The latest development means all other eligible housemates are up for possible eviction this week, setting the stage for another round of audience voting ahead of Sunday’s live eviction show.
Following Cassi’s eviction on Sunday, August 23, 19 housemates remain in the “Show Ya Sef” house.
Voting is currently open via the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps and the Africa Magic website. Voting closes on Thursday at 9pm WAT.
