Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Abisola “Abi” Ayoola has emerged as Head of House for the second time this season after defeating Gerard in the final round of Monday’s challenge.
The victory makes Abi the first female housemate to win the Head of House title twice in the Show Ya Sef house.
Announcing her victory on its website, the organisers said Abi secured the title after a series of elimination rounds that left her and Gerard battling for the crown.
“For Gerard, it was another close call as he once again came within touching distance of the HoH title. But in the final round, Abi held her nerve and secured the win,” the organisers stated.
Abi’s latest victory also comes with changes to the privileges attached to the Head of House position.
Unlike previous weeks, there was no Lucky Dip to determine who would gain access to the HoH Loft. Instead, the Loft now belongs directly to the Head of House, making Abi the first HoH this season to enjoy the privilege.
Abi chose Temi Nkem to join her in the Loft.
The organisers also announced that this week’s Head of House will be eligible to compete in next week’s challenge, ending the previous rule that prevented an outgoing HoH from immediately competing for the title again.
Following the HoH challenge, Big Brother announced changes to the nomination process.
The usual saves were scrapped after repeated discussions among the housemates about nominations, conspiracies and possible saves.
As a result, only Abi, as Head of House, and Sheba, the Most Influential Player of the Week, are safe from eviction. The remaining housemates are up for possible eviction.
Meanwhile, Bells has once again become the Benchwarmer after Big Brother called Yusuf, Bells, Ricky, Aikou, Nomy and Sheba to roll a die.
Bells rolled one, the lowest number, while Yusuf and Sheba rolled two, Nomy rolled four, and Ricky and Aikou rolled six each.
The latest developments come as the housemates enter the sixth week of the reality show.
