The organisers of Big Brother Naija have announced that Season 11 of the reality television show will premiere on Saturday, July 26.
The announcement was made during a press briefing on Wednesday, where the organisers also unveiled a record-breaking grand prize of ₦160 million for this year’s winner, the highest since the show debuted in 2006.
The new season will air 24 hours a day on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49, allowing viewers to follow the housemates’ activities in real time throughout the competition.
In a statement shared on its official social media platforms ahead of the premiere, the organisers teased the return of the show, saying: “The spotlight is waiting. No hiding, no playing safe. Biggie’s house reopens on July 26.”
Season 11 is expected to feature a fresh lineup of contestants competing in weekly tasks, nominations and public voting as they battle for the coveted grand prize.
According to the organisers, the show will continue to deliver its signature mix of entertainment, competition and audience engagement, with fans able to watch every moment of the housemates’ journey through its round-the-clock live broadcast.
For the new season, betPawa Nigeria returns as the headline sponsor, while Guinness Nigeria Plc will serve as the gold sponsor and Minimie Nigeria as the associate sponsor.
Since its launch in 2006, Big Brother Naija has remained one of Nigeria’s most-watched television programmes, producing numerous former housemates who have gone on to build successful careers in entertainment, media, entrepreneurship and other sectors.
