Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Morocco international midfielder Ismael Saibari from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on a contract running until 2031.
The Bundesliga champions reportedly paid a fee of €50 million ($57 million) for the 25-year-old attacking midfielder.
Saibari, known for his goal-scoring ability from midfield, is expected to add further firepower to Bayern’s already potent attack, which includes Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, Jamal Musiala, Lennart Karl, and Serge Gnabry.
“From childhood, you dream of signing for a club like Bayern — everyone knows it is one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Saibari said in a statement. “Bayern compete for the biggest titles like the Champions League every year, and I want to win as many trophies as possible here.”
The midfielder has been one of the standout performers at the ongoing World Cup, helping Morocco reach the Round of 16. He scored in all three group-stage matches before converting the decisive penalty in their last-32 victory over the Netherlands on Monday.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl described Saibari as “one of the most exciting players at the World Cup” and said the club were delighted to secure his signature.
The transfer had been widely anticipated in recent weeks, with reports suggesting Saibari even missed a training session in New Jersey during the tournament to complete a medical ahead of the move to Munich.
Born in Spain and raised in Belgium, Saibari chose to represent Morocco internationally, making his debut in 2023.
Bayern continue their push for dominance following a strong 2025–26 season in which they won a domestic league and cup double and set a Bundesliga scoring record. However, they fell short in the Champions League, exiting in the semi-finals after a dramatic 6–5 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
