Real Madrid have confirmed that defender Antonio Rudiger has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2027.
“Real Madrid and Antonio Rudiger have agreed the extension of our player’s contract, who will stay at the club until June 30, 2027,” the club said in a statement on Tuesday.
The 33-year-old centre-back joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2022, having previously played for Stuttgart and Roma.
Since arriving at the Santiago Bernabéu, Rudiger has won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in 2024, as well as the Copa del Rey in 2023 with Los Blancos.
The extension comes during a busy period of squad restructuring at the club. Earlier in June, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez appointed José Mourinho as head coach following two consecutive trophyless seasons.
On Monday, the club also announced the signing of Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella from Chelsea.
Real Madrid continue to be linked with several high-profile targets, including Bernardo Silva and Denzel Dumfries, while reports suggest Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté could join on a free transfer when his contract expires at Anfield.
