President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday joined Muslim faithful at Dodan Barracks in Lagos to observe Eid prayers marking the celebration of Eid al-Adha.
The President was accompanied by several top government officials and political figures, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, among others.
The President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, disclosed this in a post shared on X on Wednesday.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside former Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Raji Fashola, the Lagos APC governorship candidate, and other Muslim faithful, observed the Eid Mubarak prayers at Dodan Barracks in Lagos State,” Olusegun wrote.
Photos shared online showed the President and other worshippers participating in the prayers.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also joined Muslim faithful at the AYA Mosque in Abuja for the Eid prayers.
In a message posted on his social media platforms, Atiku said the prayers were offered in gratitude to Allah for His blessings.
“I joined fellow Muslims this morning at the AYA Mosque in Abuja to observe the Eid prayers in gratitude to Allah for His countless blessings,” he wrote.
The former Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate called on Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion, peace, and sacrifice during the celebration.
“As we celebrate this sacred occasion, may the spirit of Eid strengthen our bonds of unity, compassion, sacrifice, and peace as one people and one nation,” Atiku stated.
He also extended Eid greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and beyond.
“Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful across Nigeria and around the world. May Allah accept our prayers and grant lasting peace and prosperity to our nation,” he added.
