President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum 2026, which begins on Thursday.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu arrived at the Presidential Wing of Kigali International Airport and was received by Bianca Ojukwu and Juvenal Marizamunda.

Other dignitaries on hand to welcome the President included Jumoke Oduwole, Mohammed Mohammed, Ibrahim Zanna, and Sunday Dare.

Tinubu was later received by Paul Kagame at Urugwiro Village, where both leaders held bilateral talks aimed at strengthening relations between Nigeria and Rwanda.

Founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by International Finance Corporation, the Africa CEO Forum is regarded as the continent’s largest annual gathering of private sector leaders, investors, and policymakers.

The forum focuses on accelerating Africa’s economic transformation through regional integration, expanded market scale, and increased cross-border investment.

This year’s theme is “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

At the summit, Tinubu is expected to deliver an address titled, “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will outline the progress and impact of his administration’s economic reforms.

The President is also scheduled to hold high-level meetings with African and global business leaders to promote Nigeria as a leading investment destination and reaffirm the country’s commitment to deeper regional economic cooperation.

The two-day summit, taking place from May 14 to 15 at the Kigali Convention Centre, is expected to attract more than 2,000 chief executives, investors, policymakers, and several African heads of state.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu will use the forum to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, strategic partnerships, and private sector-driven sustainable development across the continent.
