Amanda Anisimova captured her second title of a stellar 2025 season by defeating Linda Noskova 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 in the China Open final on Sunday. The win in Beijing marks the American’s fourth career title and caps a breakthrough year that also saw her reach the finals of the US Open and Wimbledon.

The third seed needed one hour and 46 minutes to overcome a mid-match dip and overpower 26th-seeded Noskova, who was contesting her first WTA 1000 final.

Anisimova, 24, is the third American woman to win the China Open after Serena Williams and defending champion Coco Gauff, whom she routed 6-1, 6-2 in the semi-finals.

“I can’t believe it,” Anisimova said, collapsing to the court in celebration after sealing the win with a forehand winner on her first match point.

The world No. 4 made a blistering start, wrapping up the opening set in just 23 minutes without dropping a game. But Noskova responded strongly, breaking early in the second set to take a 5-2 lead and level the match.

In the deciding set, both players held serve until Anisimova broke for 4-2 and held her nerve to close out the match, showcasing the composure that has defined her impressive rise this year.

Ranked No. 43 this time last year, Anisimova now adds a WTA 1000 title to her growing résumé and continues to cement her status among the sport’s elite.

Noskova, who began the tournament ranked No. 27, made a strong statement with her run in Beijing and is expected to climb further in the rankings.
