Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed solidarity with former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, following a violent attack on his convoy in Birnin Kebbi.

In a statement released by Muhammad Al-Amin, Zonal Coordinator of the Malami Support Organization, Atiku condemned the attack and urged Malami not to waver in his efforts to uphold democratic values and protect Nigerians from anti-democratic elements.

Atiku also voiced concern over the increasing trend of violent assaults targeting prominent figures associated with the ADC coalition across the country. He reaffirmed the coalition’s unwavering commitment to defending democracy against mounting threats.

In response, Malami expressed gratitude for Atiku’s support and solidarity. He described the attack as a deeply troubling incident and emphasized its broader implications, warning that the politicization of violence poses a serious risk to democratic institutions.

Malami added that the attack in Kebbi State remains a stark reminder of the dangers facing political leaders and the urgent need to protect democratic processes from partisan manipulation.
