Lagos LG poll: Voting commences at Sanwo-Olu’s polling unit

Voting has officially commenced at Polling Unit 007, located at St. Stephens Nursery and Primary School, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island, where Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to cast his ballot.

The Telegraph reports that the election for chairmen and councillors across Lagos State’s local government areas began promptly at 8 a.m. at the polling unit.

Officials from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) arrived on time to oversee the voting process.

Sanwo-Olu’s media aide, Jubril Gawat, has already cast his vote at the polling unit, setting the tone for a smooth electoral exercise.

Security personnel, including police officers, were present to maintain order and ensure the safety of voters and officials.

The local government election is currently underway across all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State.
