#EdoDecides2024: INEC resumes collation as APC claims Oredo, wins in 11 LGA

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation centre for the Edo State governorship election has reconvened after going on recess for more than 3 hours.

The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, who is also the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna, had called for the recess around 2:19 pm after announcing results for 16 local government areas.

The collation resumed at about 5:15pm, with APC winning Oredo LGA. They scored APC 30,780 votes while PDP had 24,938. The LP got 5,389.

The announcement of Oredo LGA results leaves only one LGA yet to be announced.

APC’s Monday Okpebholo is still maintaining his lead ahead of PDP’s Asue Ighodalo. He is now leading in 11 local government areas out of the 17 already declared, leaving Ighodalo with only 6.
