EkitiDecides2026: INEC begins upload of results on IReV

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun uploading polling unit results from Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).

The results started appearing on the portal at about 4:10 p.m., following concerns raised by stakeholders over delays in the online publication of polling unit outcomes.

Among the early results uploaded, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeated the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Ambassador Dare Bejide, at Polling Unit 4, Ward 2, in Ekiti South West Local Government Area.

Oyebanji secured 140 votes at the polling unit, while Bejide polled 37 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received two votes.

As of the time of filing this report, approximately 20 per cent of polling unit results had been uploaded to the IReV portal, with more results expected as collation progresses across the state.
