2027: APC extends nomination form deadline, adjusts screening timetable

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the deadline for the sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the 2027 general elections, alongside a revision of its screening timetable.

In a statement issued on Monday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the adjustment affects key milestones in its electoral timetable.

Under the revised schedule, the sale of forms will now close at midnight on May 6, 2026, while submission of completed forms has been extended to midnight on May 7, 2026.

The party also announced that screening of aspirants will hold from May 8 to May 12, 2026, with the list of successful candidates to be published on May 13, 2026.

The APC reaffirmed the cost of nomination forms across all elective positions. The presidential form remains ₦100 million, while governorship aspirants are required to pay ₦50 million.

For legislative offices, aspirants to State Houses of Assembly will pay ₦6 million, House of Representatives hopefuls ₦10 million, and Senate aspirants ₦20 million.

The party had earlier commenced the sale of forms for aspirants seeking elective positions in the 2027 polls. However, although the process was originally scheduled to begin on April 25 and end on May 2, 2026, it started three days late, prompting the latest extension.
