The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed key Boko Haram hideouts at Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in Borno State, killing scores of terrorists, the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) announced.
In a statement on Saturday in Abuja, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF, said precision airstrikes were carried out on Thursday and Friday based on credible intelligence of planned terrorist attacks during the Sallah festivities.
NAF aircraft targeted terrorist strongholds used for storage and coordination, delivering decisive blows that disrupted planned attacks aimed at undermining Eid celebrations.
Battle Damage Assessments confirmed the elimination of multiple terrorists and destruction of critical logistics infrastructure.
“This pre-emptive strike highlights NAF’s unwavering commitment to protecting civilians and advancing national security,” Ejodame added.
