In a statement earlier issued by Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, it was revealed that the purpose of the visit is for the President to assess his administration’s mid-term performance and evaluate key milestones. The visit will also serve as an opportunity for President Tinubu to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.

Onanuga further highlighted that the period of reflection would inform plans to strengthen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities for the upcoming year. He pointed to recent economic achievements, such as the Central Bank of Nigeria’s announcement of a significant rise in net foreign exchange reserves, which reached $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023—underscoring the administration’s fiscal reforms.

During his time in Paris, the President will remain fully engaged with his team and continue overseeing governance activities. He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
