The Zamfara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of its workforce by approving an end-of-year bonus for public servants and pensioners.
This initiative is part of the administration’s broader efforts to promote good governance, boost employee morale, and foster a prosperous society.
In a circular issued by the Zamfara State Head of Service, Ahmad Aliyu Liman, Governor Dauda Lawal announced the approval of a 13th-month salary bonus, equivalent to 30% of basic pay, for the year 2024. This payment will be extended not only to serving public servants but also to pensioners, reflecting the administration’s dedication to inclusivity and the well-being of all.
Governor Lawal expressed that the bonus was part of ongoing efforts to ensure good governance and a secure environment in the state. “In line with our mission to improve governance and ensure a stable environment, I am pleased to approve the payment of the 13th-month bonus, amounting to 30% of basic salary, for all public servants and pensioners,” the circular stated.
The Governor also called on public servants to show appreciation for the gesture by renewing their commitment to service excellence. “I urge all public servants to reciprocate this gesture by redoubling their efforts in work, productivity, and efficient service delivery. Your dedication is key to advancing the goals of the Rescue Mission and ensuring a brighter future for Zamfara State,” Governor Lawal added.
He emphasized that the continued dedication of the state’s workforce is essential to the success of his administration’s agenda and to building a secure and prosperous Zamfara.
