Sanwo-Olu presents N3trn 2025 budget to Lagos Assembly

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has presented a ₦3.005 trillion budget proposal for the 2025 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly.

In his address to lawmakers on Thursday at the Assembly complex in Alausa, Sanwo-Olu highlighted the budget’s emphasis on infrastructural development and sustainability. Dubbed the “Budget of Sustainability,” the proposal is centered on capital projects designed to drive economic growth and development across the state.

The proposed budget allocates ₦1.7 trillion for capital expenditures, with the remaining ₦1.2 trillion earmarked for recurrent expenses.

“The total revenue includes ₦1.97 trillion in Internally Generated Revenue and ₦626.14 billion from Federal Transfers”, the governor explained.

Deputy Governor Dr. Femi Hamzat, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, and other key dignitaries were present at the event.
