Makinde appoints new advisory council members, other aides

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of three new members to the state Advisory Council, chaired by legal luminary, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde.

The development was disclosed on Friday in Ibadan by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.

The newly appointed members are Abu Salami, Ezekiel Oyedepo and Lydia Bankole.

In a statement, Olarenwaju also announced other appointments and changes approved by the governor.

According to him, Hon. Adekunle Bankole has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.

He said three other officials had been reassigned to new positions.

Mrs Adeboyin Oladokun, formerly a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.

Abiodun Oluwaseun, who previously served as Senior Special Assistant on Project Delivery, has been appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency. He replaces Engr. Muftau Salawu, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement.

Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, who previously served on the board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, has been appointed a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation.

The statement said all the appointments and reassignments took effect from Friday, September 18, 2026.

Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of the state.
