President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, for the next phase of his three-week annual leave in Europe.
Tinubu arrived in the French capital on Sunday and was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke, according to a video shared on the President’s official X account.
The President departed Abuja on Sunday, August 30, 2026, for London, United Kingdom, where he began his vacation before travelling to Paris.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the trip in a three-paragraph statement issued on August 30.
The statement, titled “President Tinubu Begins Three-Week Leave,” said Tinubu would return to Abuja at the end of his holiday and join the campaign for the January 2027 general election.
The President’s vacation began a week after the All Progressives Congress (APC) released its Presidential Campaign Council list, naming Tinubu as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.
Tinubu’s arrival in Paris marks the second leg of his European holiday, which comes as preparations for the 2027 general election gather pace.
