The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded more than half of the results from the ongoing Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
As of the time of filing this report, results from 1,963 of the 3,763 polling units in the state had been uploaded, representing 52.17 per cent of the total results expected.
The upload of results began shortly after voting ended at several polling units across the state, marking the start of the electronic transmission and public viewing of polling unit results as the collation process gets underway.
The IReV portal allows voters, political parties, observers and other stakeholders to view results uploaded from individual polling units, providing greater transparency and enabling the public to monitor the electoral process.
The development comes as INEC officials continue the collation of results from across the state following the conclusion of voting.
