Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu.
The reported arrest follows a warrant issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja over allegations of certificate forgery, after Nnaji allegedly failed to honour repeated invitations from the anti-graft agency. The court had also authorised the ICPC to declare him wanted pending his arrest.
Nnaji is expected to remain in the commission’s custody as investigations continue. He has previously denied the allegations against him.
