The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of top performers in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with a candidate aspiring to study medicine at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) emerging as the overall highest scorer.
Speaking at the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Abuja on Monday, JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, announced that Owoeye Jesudunsin, an Ekiti-born candidate who sat for the examination in Ogun State, topped the national ranking with 372 out of 400 marks.
