WAEC releases 2026 first series computer-based WASSCE results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2026 First Series.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, the examination body announced that candidates who sat for the examination would be able to access their results within 12 hours.

WAEC said the swift release reflects its commitment to improving service delivery through the adoption of technology and more efficient examination processes.

“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026 First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours,” the council stated.

It also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their support in ensuring the successful conduct of the examination.

“Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat,” the statement added.

The CB-WASSCE, conducted for private candidates, is part of WAEC’s broader efforts to modernise its examination system and enhance the candidate experience through computer-based testing.

Candidates are advised to check their results via the official WAEC platforms once they become available.
