The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has suspended its State Secretary, Mr. Sa’idu Adamu, following allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
This was announced by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Maria Dogo, in a statement released to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday.
Dogo explained that the suspension aligns with Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (2017, as amended).
She said, “The decision was reached on Monday, October 6, 2025, during a meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) held at the party’s secretariat in Kaduna.
“The suspension takes immediate effect and will last for one month, pending the outcome of investigations and further decisions by the party.
“During this period, Hon. Sa’idu Adamu is barred from participating in any party activities at all levels.”
The party assured its members and the public of its continued commitment to internal discipline, fairness, and justice under the leadership of State Chairman, Mr. Edward Percy Masha.
“The ongoing efforts of the State Working Committee are aimed at strengthening the party’s structures and ensuring accountability at all levels,” Dogo added.
In a related development, The Telegraph reported on August 26, 2025, that the Anambra State House of Assembly suspended Bernard Udemezue, the member representing Ayamelum Constituency, for three months.
Udemezue was suspended over a social media post deemed “damaging” by the House. The lawmaker, elected on the PDP platform, had alleged that his constituency was being marginalized in terms of constituency allowances.
