The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has outlined crucial timelines for the successful coordination of the 2026 Hajj.
In a statement posted on its X account on Friday, NAHCON confirmed that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi authorities will be signed in November 2025, marking the official start of preparations.
By January 4, 2026, all camp booking payments and service contracts must be completed. The deadline for uploading transport and accommodation contracts to the Nusuk Masar portal is set for February 1, 2026.
The final deadline for visa issuance is March 20, 2026, with no extensions allowed.
NAHCON also set October 8, 2025, as the remittance deadline for states and licensed operators to secure their slots.
The commission stressed the importance of strict adherence to these timelines, warning that failure to comply could disrupt the Hajj process for Nigerian pilgrims.
“These deadlines are non-negotiable. All stakeholders must comply early to ensure a smooth, hassle-free Hajj,” NAHCON emphasized.
