MultiChoice has announced a price increase for its DStv and GOtv packages, effective March 1, 2025.
The company made the announcement in a statement sent to customers on Monday. The statement, titled “Price Adjustments for DStv and GOtv Packages,” reads:
“Dear Customer, please note that effective 1 March 2025, there will be a price adjustment on all DStv packages. This adjustment is necessary to enable us to continue offering our customers world-class homegrown and international content, delivered through the best technology.”
The price increase comes nearly a year after the last price revision.
According to MultiChoice, the new pricing will see the DStv Compact bouquet increase from N15,700 to N19,000, the Compact Plus rise to N30,000, and the Premium subscription go up to N44,500.
For GOtv customers, the current N3,600 subscription will be raised to N3,900, while the GOtv Plus package will increase from N4,850 to N5,800. The GOtv Max package will now cost N8,500, GOtv Supa will rise to N11,400, and GOtv Supa Plus will increase to N16,800.
MultiChoice attributed the price hike to the rising operational costs in Nigeria, including the depreciation of the naira and inflation, which have significantly impacted its business expenses.
