President Tinubu presides over Federal Executive Council meeting

President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja.

He arrived at the venue at approximately 1:20 PM.

The FEC is composed of ministers, presidential aides, and other key officials. Notably, Vice President Kashim Shettima is absent from the meeting due to an official trip to Dubai. He is also expected to travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the lesser Hajj.

With just two weeks remaining in 2024, it remains unclear if this will be the final FEC meeting of the year. However, President Tinubu is scheduled to present the 2025 Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly on Tuesday, the day after the FEC meeting.
