Big Brother Naija Season 11 winner, Temi Nkem, has taken delivery of her ₦90 million cash prize and a brand-new Hyundai SUV, part of the ₦160 million grand prize package she won on the reality TV show.
The prize presentation took place on Tuesday at the MultiChoice studio in Lagos, two days after the 21-year-old was crowned winner of the “Show Ya Sef” edition of Big Brother Naija.
Temi arrived at the ceremony in a navy-blue gown, accompanied by fellow Season 11 housemates Aikou, Tram, Bluethopia, Araga, Oyin, Chimsom, Bells and Yusuf.
Representatives of the show’s sponsors presented Temi with the Hyundai SUV and its keys, with the newly crowned winner later posing for photographs alongside the vehicle.
The cash component of her prize was presented as a ₦90 million cheque, while the SUV represented the major physical prize handed over to her at the ceremony.
Visibly excited, Temi expressed gratitude to God, her family and her supporters, particularly members of her fanbase known as the “Teminators.”
She also thanked viewers who voted for her throughout the 70-day competition, saying their support played a crucial role in her victory.
Temi emerged as the winner at Sunday’s grand finale after securing 25.87 per cent of the final votes.
She defeated Aikou, who finished as the first runner-up with 23.68 per cent, while Sheba placed third with 9.80 per cent.
Her victory made Temi the fifth female winner in the history of Big Brother Naija, following Mercy Eke, Phyna, Ilebaye and Imisi.
From housemate to winner
Temi’s victory brought an end to 10 weeks of competition involving 24 housemates, with the season featuring evictions, alliances, confrontations, romances, twists and several memorable moments.
Her journey included a fake eviction, BB Bucks drama, relationships with fellow housemates and a series of diary-room moments that helped establish her as one of the season’s most prominent personalities.
Her outspoken and unpredictable personality kept her at the centre of conversations throughout the competition, while her ability to survive repeated nominations helped propel her to the finale.
The official prize package was valued at ₦160 million and comprised the ₦90 million cash prize, the new Hyundai SUV and additional sponsored prizes.
