Raphinha to sign new Barcelona deal until 2030

Barcelona winger Raphinha is set to remain at the club until 2030 after sporting director Deco confirmed that negotiations over a new contract are at an advanced stage.

Speaking on Saturday at Barcelona’s general assembly, Deco said the Brazilian had agreed to continue with the Catalan giants for the next four years.

“Raphinha’s renewal is quite advanced… Rafa will be with us for the next four years,” Deco said.

Raphinha has made an impressive start to the campaign, leading the La Liga scoring charts with nine goals in six appearances despite being deployed as a central striker rather than in his usual wide position.

Deco also confirmed that Barcelona youngsters Xavi Espart and Marc Bernal are expected to sign new contracts with the club in the coming days.

“They are three players who we’ve got sorted for renewals in the last week,” he added.

Raphinha, 29, joined Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022 and has since established himself as an important member of the squad. His influence grew further following Hansi Flick’s arrival as head coach in 2024.

The new agreement would keep the Brazil international at Barcelona until 2030, extending his stay at the club beyond his current contract.
