Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has narrowly escaped death after being involved in a serious motorbike accident on a movie set just days before her birthday.
The actress shared footage of the incident on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
In the video, Oko was filming a scene on a motorcycle ridden by her colleague Victory Michael when the bike reportedly collided with a pole on location in Lagos.
Michael sustained a chest impact and briefly lost consciousness, while Oko suffered a broken leg in the crash.
Crew members rushed both actors to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.
In her caption, Oko said she came “very close to death,” describing life as “very fragile.”
“Life is very, very fragile. It could have been a different story, but God said no. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God,” she wrote.
Following the post, several Nollywood colleagues — including Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Chizzy Alichi Mbah, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike, Toni Tones, Doris Ifeka, Onyi Alex, and producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong — flooded the comments section with messages of support and goodwill.
