Spain shrugged off their 1-1 draw with Cabo Verde in their opening 2026 World Cup match, producing a dominant performance to sweep aside Saudi Arabia 4-0 on Sunday.
The European champions needed just 10 minutes to settle into their rhythm in Atlanta, as they took control early and never looked back. A Mikel Oyarzabal brace, along with an own goal from Hassan Al-Tambakti, sealed a commanding win for Luis de la Fuente’s side and moved them a step closer to the last 32.
The result comes after a surprising goalless draw against Cape Verde in their Group match opener, a setback Spain have now firmly put behind them.
