The development was disclosed in a statement on Saturday by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications in the Office of the Vice President.
According to Nkwocha, Shettima will join other African leaders and dignitaries from across the world at the inauguration ceremony scheduled to hold on Sunday, May 24, at the Presidential Palace in Cotonou.
He noted that Nigeria and Benin Republic share longstanding historical, socio-cultural, and economic ties, with bilateral relations largely centred on border security, trade, and energy cooperation.
