President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to inaugurate the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge in Lagos this week as part of a two-day working visit to the state.

The development was announced on Monday by Gboyega Akosile, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, via a post on X. He said the president would commission several “iconic, transformative, and legacy projects,” including the strategically important Ojota–Opebi link bridge.

Akosile described the bridge as a major milestone, calling it “a promise made and well delivered” by the Sanwo-Olu administration.

According to details shared alongside a video post, Tinubu’s visit will run from Wednesday, April 8 to Thursday, April 9, 2026. During that time, he is expected to inaugurate a range of key infrastructure projects across the state.

These include the Lagos State Geographic Information Service and the Lagos Multi-Agency Building, both located in Alausa. The president will also launch the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, the Maracana Stadium, featuring 19 mini football pitches and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo.

The Tolu Schools Complex stands out as one of the flagship projects. Spanning 11.7 hectares, it brings together 36 schools across primary, junior, and senior secondary levels and is designed to accommodate more than 20,000 students.

Following a visit to the site on April 1, Sanwo-Olu described the development as “the largest school community in Africa,” highlighting its modern facilities, including well-equipped classrooms, football fields, and basketball courts.

He reiterated that education remains central to his administration’s agenda, emphasizing a continued commitment to providing every child in Lagos with access to a high-quality learning environment.
