Tottenham Hotspur have named Roberto De Zerbi as their new head coach, with the Italian agreeing to a five-year contract, the club announced on Tuesday.
According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, De Zerbi will take charge immediately, overseeing Tottenham in both the Premier League and European competitions. Romano posted on X: “Tottenham agree deal to appoint Roberto De Zerbi as new head coach, here we go! Story revealed yesterday, now confirmed as De Zerbi has accepted the #THFC job with immediate effect. Five-year deal set to be signed as De Zerbi decides to accept this challenge.”
De Zerbi steps in following the departure of Igor Tudor, with Tottenham looking to stabilize a turbulent campaign and strengthen their squad for domestic and European competition, according to The Telegraph.
