Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has obtained his membership card for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Obi picked up the card during the flag-off of the party’s registration and mobilisation exercise in Anambra State on Saturday, an event attended by party members and supporters from across the state.
His move follows earlier speculation about a possible return to the Labour Party.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph had earlier reported that the former Anambra governor has declared his intention to run in Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
Obi said he would not be intimidated by the large number of governors currently in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He added that despite several attempts to discourage him from entering the race, he remained determined to contest.
